Special Workshop & Regular Meeting | Monday, October 18

 

October 15 – Jackson’s Town Council will meet for a Special Workshop from 2:00-5:00pm and hold its Regular Meeting at 6:00pm on Monday, October 18. The Special Workshop will begin with the introduction of two new employees and then department Directors will provide brief departmental updates to the Town Council. After that, Community Development Director Tyler Sinclair will present about a new Ecosystem Stewardship staff position. Next, Planning Director Paul Anthony will present about the Jackson Hole Historical Society’s New Museum.   

At 6:00pm Town Council will hold its Regular Meeting, which will start with proclamations for National Disability Employee Awareness Month and Fall Clean-Up and Burn Week. Then, the Mayor will introduce two new employees including Bruce Abel, the Interim START Bus Director. The Consent Calendar will be considered next including meeting minutes, the report from the Municipal Court for September, a sewer connection, and a gas easement. Assistant Town Manager Roxanne Robinson will then present about Council Rules and Procedures. After that, Town Clerk Lynsey Lenamond will present about the transfer of a retail Liquor License from Teton Gables to Movieworks. Next, Roxanne Robinson will present a report about the most recent Rodeo season and a confirmation of dates for the 2022 Rodeo. After that, Community Development Director Tyler Sinclair will present a Text Amendment Regarding the Definition of Family, and item brought forth by the community last year, which will change the language used throughout various land development regulations (LDRs). Following that, Finance Director Kelly Thompson will present an Amendment to the FY22 budget. Next, Ordinance O, a Text Amendment to the Town’s Land Development Regulations for NL-5 Zoning Districts, will be up for its third reading and Ordinance Q regarding Vacancies in Elected Office will be read for the first time. Under ‘Matters from the Mayor & Council’ there will be report outs from Councilors that are board and commission liaisons, and the meeting will conclude with the Town Manager’s report.  


 Public comment will be taken on all of the workshop items listed under ‘Public Hearings, Discussion &/or Possible Action Items’ via Zoom and digital attendance is welcome, details below.
