Teton Valley Commuter Buses Planning to Use Alternative Return Route
Jackson, Wyo. February 27, 2019 - Due to the closure of Teton Pass, the START Bus Teton Valley commuter buses will use an alternative route to return to Teton Valley tonight. The Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) is indicating that the estimated opening is unknown. The commuter buses will depart Jackson and go through the Snake River Canyon, Swan Valley and over Pine Creek Pass to access Teton Valley instead of driving over Teton Pass.
Four Teton Valley commuter buses are scheduled to depart Snow King at 3:45pm, 5:05pm, 5:30pm, and 6:00pm, respectively. There will not be a 7:30pm Teton Valley commuter bus departure from Snow King this evening, instead there will be an earlier departure at 5:30pm. Please plan accordingly.
The Star Valley commuter runs are not currently impacted and will remain on schedule.
Due to road conditions and traffic, Teton Village routes may be impacted today. START Bus personnel are working diligently to keep the impacts as minimal as possible. We appreciate everyone’s patience.
