CAFÉ GENEVIVE STRUCTURE FIRE



On July 2, 2019, at 2:54 a.m., members of the Jackson Police Department and JH Fire Department responded to a structure fire at Café Genevive, located at 135 West Broadway.  The fire department was quickly able to extinguish the fire, but extensive damage was done to the building as a result of the fire. 


A joint investigation into the cause of the fire is currently being conducted by members of the Jackson Police Department, JH Fire Department, Wyoming State Fire Marshall’s office, and the Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI), with DCI taking the lead at the request of the Jackson Police Department. 


The cause of the fire is currently undetermined, however, there are still numerous items of evidence to collect and process and additional persons to interview. Items collected at the scene will be sent for testing and analysis at the Wyoming State Crime lab to assist in the investigation.  If you have any information related to the fire, we ask that you contact Detective Rob Andazola of the Jackson Police Department at (307) 733-1430.  Anonymous tips can also be left at Jackson Hole Crime Stoppers at (307) 733-5148.
