PRESS BLOTTER
November 19, 2019
19111548: On November 18, 2019, Officer Osmond responded to a report of a subject with a warrant. The subject had apparently failed to pay his child support, so a bench warrant was issued by the district court. As a result, Officer Osmond arrested the 29-year-old Alpine, WY man, who was booked into the Teton County jail.
19111553: On November 18, 2019, Sgt. Phillips responded to a report of graffiti at the Russ Garaman Park. He learned that an unknown suspect used red and black spray paint to the west and south sides of the restroom at that location. The paint on the west side spelled “GHOST”, had a smiley face with Xs for eyes, and also appeared to contain the letters “TX”. The south side of the building was painted with what appeared to be a flower, a laughing face, a small bi-pedal creature and a pentagram, as well as the number “666”. If you know who did it or have information that could help identify them, please contact us at the police department, (307) 733-1430. We’d like to have them help pay for the cleanup.
1911-1589: On November 18, 2019, Jackson Police Officers and Teton County Deputies responded to a report of a structure fire at the Rusty Parrott Lodge, located at 175 North Jackson Street. Officers and deputies immediately began evacuating the building. They did so at risk to their own lives, at one point crawling along the floor, under the smoke, to get to the last occupant who was passed out in his room. We will be posting the video. It’s pretty awesome!
The end.
