Police Blotter
January 20, 2020
We had a pretty chill day yesterday, with only 20 calls for service between the day and night shift. The one report call we did get was pretty serious though. Here are the general details.
20011883: On January 20, 2020, at about 6:23 p.m., RO White responded to a report of an intoxicated male creating a disturbance at Eleanor’s Bar and Grill. She located and found the man causing the disturbance and issued him a Trespass Warning. As you might guess, the warning tells the man he is not to return to the property or risk being arrested or ticketed for Trespassing. That can be a difficult task with someone who is already upset. RO White has some pretty good people skills, though, and is learning how to apply those skills in situations like this. The man left without further incident, but that wasn’t the last we were to see of him that night. On the same date, at about 7:11 p.m., we got a 911 call from Pinky G’s. The same man had apparently caused a disturbance there when they refused him service due to his intoxicated state. Good job, Pinky G’s. This is exactly the kind of responsible serving we hope to see. It’s not easy, but it’s the right thing to do. Thank you. Unfortunately, the man didn’t take it well, became irate and threatened to mess the place up. He then grabbed a metal bar stool and threw it at one of the employees, causing minor injuries and damage to the business, before leaving. Officer O’Donnell found the man and found him as intoxicated as described and arrested the 40 year old Jackson man for Aggravated Assault & Batter and Property Destruction.
Enjoy your day, Jackson.
