February 12, 2020
Welcome to Thursday, Jackson. There is a lot to get done today, so we’re going to get right to business.
20020715: On February 7, 2020, at about 10:35 a.m., Officer Raab was headed out to the airport to relieve the officer on-duty. You’ll notice this was from a few days ago, but we’re just now getting to writing the report. While headed up there, he heard a driving complaint from the dispatch center that a vehicle was serving on the road, almost hit a guard rail and kept turning its blinkers on and off. Sounds like odd behavior and even though he was out of his jurisdiction, Officer Raab keeps a sharp eye out. Sure enough, he saw the vehicle and watched it fishtail and cross both lanes of traffic. It looks like oncoming traffic saw it too because people were braking hard and pulling to the side to get out of the driver’s way. He advised the sheriff’s office, but they didn’t have anyone in the area, so they asked him to make the stop. Officer Raab stopped the vehicle, found the driver intoxicated, and Grand Teton National Park rangers showed up to conduct a DUI investigation. We’re pretty sure the driver was arrested, but you’ll have to ask the park.
20021227: Lost Property (Purse)
20021248: On February 12, 2020, at about 11:43 a.m., Officer Raab responded to a report of Collision Hit & Run. The victim reported someone struck their vehicle while it was parked in front of their home. No suspects on this one yet.
20021251: On February 12, 2020, at about 12:17 p.m., Cpl. Jones responded to a Collision Hit & Run. We really do take a lot of these. It’s almost like people are playing bumper-cars out there. In this report, someone ran into the ATM at Bank of the West. Cpl. Jones is still working on his investigation, but if we’re lucky, someone saw it or the ATM camera can help us out.
20021273: On February 12, 2020, at about 4:17 p.m., Cpl. Jones responded to a report of Harassment. It looks like a victim reported being verbally harassed by a former co-worker. Cpl. Jones is still working on this one too, but it’s likely he we go find the suspect and tell him to ’chill’. If he does, we’ll all move on with life. If he doesn’t, well, we have this report to use for a Stalking case.
20021279: On February 12, 2020, at about 4:42 p.m., Cpl. Jones took another Harassment call for service. This one is a variation on the same theme, a subject reporting an estranged wife’s new boyfriend keeps calling and won’t stop. Cpl. Jones will be doing the same with this call as he plans on doing with the previous one. If the behavior stops, no prosecution. If it continues, we’ll go ahead and try collecting the information we need to prove a Stalking charge.
That’s it from yesterday. Have an awesome day.
