Blotter time!
20030837: On March 9, 2020, at about 2:27 a.m., Cpl. Traphagan stopped a vehicle for not having any taillights. When he contacted the driver, he smelled beer breath. The man admitted to consuming about 4 beers. Cpl. Traphagan administered the field sobriety tests and the driver did poorly. He had to arrest the 33 year old Jackson, WY man for DUI.
20030854: On March 9, 2020, at about 9:33 a.m., Sgt. Phillips responded to a report of phone threats. This is an active investigation, so we won’t be saying much at this point, but Sgt. Phillips has a good idea who the suspect is. Now he just has to gather enough information to prove it. That may or may not be possible, but we’ll do what we can. At the very least, we can show up on the suspect’s doorstep and let him know we’re onto him. Most people stop after that visit.
20030867: On March 9, 2020, at about 11:00 a.m., Cpl. P. Smith responded to a report of Found Property. In this case, it happened to be a sunglass case full of marijuana found by cleaning staff at a local hotel. Cpl. P. Smith learned the room had been previously occupied by a group of high school students in town for a school athletic event. He talked with that school’s staff, but was not able to determine if the marijuana came from those students or someone who had occupied the room previously. Cpl. P. Smith took the marijuana for destruction.
That was it for Monday. Have a great Tuesday.
