Police Blotter

March 13-15, 2020

A lot is going on with Covid-19.  We urge everyone to stay calm, take proper precautions and stay informed by going to https://tetoncountywy.gov/2061/Coronavirus-Disease-COVID-19?fbclid=IwAR3tcnlTj7O1sPW-pzegCK0QojSAOOY-n0ogtcLd7nssZFi7rk1L3ScamcA for information from the Teton County health department.

On to the blotter!

20031291:  On March 13, 2020, at about 1:00 p.m., Officer Peery responded to a report of narcotics possession at Summit High School.  He worked with school staff, the student and the parents and ultimately cited the 14 year old male student for Possession of Marijuana.

20031299:  Collision Hit & Run.

20031319:  On March 13, 2020, at about 5:40 p.m., Officer Mattson responded to what was reported as a possible overdose.  He determined that was not the case, but decided to dig a little further.  He requested consent to search the room with a K-9 and found paraphernalia and trace amounts of marijuana.  Officer Mattson is still working on the report, but it doesn’t look like anyone was arrested or got citations from this incident.

20031400:  On March 13, 2020, at about 4:29 p.m.,  Officer Mattson responded to an intoxicated passenger at the JH Airport.  The passenger was at the bar, very intoxicated, and swearing at everyone around him.  That’s not very nice, so Officer Mattson went to have a conversation with him.  He found the 37 year old Wisconsin man to be heavily intoxicated and arrested him for Public Intoxication.

20031452:  On March 15, 2020, at about 1:10 a.m., Sgt. Ruschill stopped a vehicle for driving without headlights and for failing to stop for a flashing red light.  When the driver appeared intoxicated, he administered field sobriety testing.  The 67 year old Arvada, CO man did poorly and was arrested for DUI.  The man also had some marijuana on him, so we charged him for that, too.

20031456:  On March 15, 2020, at about 2:22 a.m., Officer O’Donnell responded to a report of a man attempting to gain entry to a resident not his own.  That’s pretty scary stuff and the homeowner rightly called 911.  Officer O’Donnell found the man to be heavily intoxicated.  The 31 year old Jackson, WY man didn’t know where he was or how to get home.  We had to arrest him for Public Intoxication.

20031460:  Traffic Collision (Plow truck vs. car)

20031469:  Collision Hit & Run.

That’s it from the weekend.  Have a safe week.
