Did you know that using fireworks in the Town of Jackson and Teton County is illegal? Every year, the JPD responds to multiple calls regarding illegal fireworks. A citation can result in a fine of $100 plus the seizure of the fireworks. We understand it is important to celebrate our national history and culture, but please consider the injuries and property destruction that can be the result of amateur fireworks use (especially when alcohol is involved!). One alternative is to enjoy the free Jaycee's fireworks show at Snow King on the 4th of July at 10pm. Have a happy and safe Independence Day!
