Blotter time!

20050753:  On May 7, 2020, at 7:41 p.m., Officer Raab responded to a report of a stolen firearm.  The victim reported leaving the firearm in his unlocked vehicle over the course of several days.  During that time, someone stole the weapon from its hiding place.  Folks, it’s one thing to leave your car unlocked with your climbing and ski equipment in the back, but doing so with a firearm is not what we want to see.  The police department’s fear is that this stolen firearm will end up in the hands of a juvenile who could accidentally hurt themselves or someone else, or that it could be used by an adult with the same result.  Please, if you keep firearms in your vehicle, lock the doors…every time.  It only takes a second.  Property securing and storing your firearms is your responsibility.  We are happy to help by providing a gunlock if you don’t have one.  If you have any information as to who is responsible for this crime, call us immediately.
