Police Blotter
May 18-19, 2020
Here are the only two items that ended in reports over the last couple of days.
20051993: On May 18, 2020, at 10:59 p.m., Corporal C. Smith stopped a vehicle for speeding, 40 mph in a 30 mph zone. While speaking with the driver, he could smell the odor of marijuana. Yep, marijuana is still illegal in Wyoming and carrying it in your car is not a good idea. The stuff has a pungent smell and it doesn’t take a trained K-9 to detect it, just a cop with a good nose. Even so, Corporal C. Smith had his K-9 partner, Sully, take a walk around the car to confirm what his own nose was telling him. He seized the marijuana and paraphernalia found and cited the 28 year old Hoquiam, WA man for possession of marijuana.
