20060137: On June 1, 2020, at 7:05 p.m., Officer Mattson responded to a report of Destruction of Property. The victim reported to him that they were driving down the road when passenger, frontside window inexplicably shattered. Officer Mattson was not able to determine a cause, but the victim asked for a report so the damage could be reported to insurance. We’re happy to help with that.
20060141: On June 1, 2020, at 7:40 p.m., Officer Shreve responded to a report of a False ID at the Cowboy Bar. He arrived at the location and learned from the doorman that a female had attempted to enter the bar with what he believed was a fake ID. Officer Shreve inspected the ID and talked to the woman. She claimed the ID was real and that she had not been drinking. When asked for another form of ID, she began digging through her purse. Officer Shreve was paying attention because he saw the woman had another ID she was passing over and attempting to conceal. He asked to see it, of course, and found it to be a Colorado ID with the same name as the first, but with a different birthdate. We call that a clue. Officer Shreve administered a portable breath test with a result of .206%. Looks like she was lying about not drinking too. Rather than take the 18 year old Pagosa Springs, CO woman to jail, Officer Shreve confiscated her ID, and wrote her a ticket for being a Minor Under the Influence.
