20060157: On June 2, 2020, at 12:35 a.m., Officer Mattson responded to West Broadway for a report of an unresponsive man sitting on the side of the road. When he arrived, the man appeared to be taking a nap. Weird place to do that, but it’s a free country. Officer Mattson probably wanted to make sure there wasn’t a medical issue at play and began talking to him to make sure he was okay. He found the man to be heavily intoxicated. The man was not able to provide any information that would allow Officer Mattson to get him home, so Officer Mattson had to arrest the 40 year old Kalispell, MT man to give him a safe place to sober up until he could take care of himself.
20060164: On June 2, 2020, at 6:26 a.m., Officer Mattson responded to a report of Destruction of Property. He learned that sometime in the last several days, someone wrote "Dump Trump" on the side of a building. Whatever your opinion of the president, damaging someone else’s property to communicate your point is not okay. Paint your own property next time. Now the owner of the building is on the hook for the cleanup.
20060251: On June 2, 2020, 7:02 p.m., Sgt. Phillips responded to a report of Fraud. The victim reported being contacted by someone claiming to be from Apple Support. They were apparently very convincing and got the victim to send them $1,500 worth of Best Buy gift cards. Apple doesn’t do business this way folks. We’re not sure anyone does and you should suspect fraud immediately if anyone asks you to. Hang up the phone, delete the email and don’t engage with these people.
