Police Blotter
June 29-30, 2020

Welcome to the Jackson Police Blotter.

No reports for June 29, 2020

20063752:  Lost Property (Lost Identification)

20063765:  On June 30, 2020, 12:48 a.m., Cpl. Traphagan responded to a report of an Assault.  When he arrived, he learned a woman and her adult son had gotten into an argument about the cleanliness of his room.  The woman claimed her son hit her, while the son claimed she struck herself while throwing items around the room.  Cpl. Traphagan was unable to determine which account of the event was true.  That being the case, he separated the man from the property.

20063821:  On June 30, 2020, at 8:54 p.m., RO Swicegood stopped a vehicle for speeding, 42/30.  He found the teenage driver had another juvenile passenger, which was prohibited because of the restrictions on his driver’s license.  He ticketed the driver and informed the county attorney’s office so they could follow-up during the day.  Why the big deal?  Why write a report?  Here is a short explanation without giving too much detail in a juvenile matter.  Teton County administers a Juvenile Diversion program that keeps juveniles out of the criminal court.  This program involves many things, but may include things like community service, counseling, and curfews with oversite by a juvenile case worker.  If the juvenile is found to have broken any of the guidelines placed upon them by the Juvenile Diversion program, we inform those administering the program so they can address it.
