[ARCHIVED] Police Blotter

Police Blotter

July 27, 2020

Welcome to the Jackson Police blotter.  Here are the calls for service that ended in reports.  You’ll notice a change in the blotter starting today.  We will not be including officer names in report summaries for the time being.  We know many of you like to see what your favorite officers are doing, but it’s necessary.  Officer’s names are being used to research and attack their private information and we are doing what we can to protect them while still providing you with as much information as we can.  We apologize for the change, but it appears that’s the world we live in now.

20072447:  On July 27, 2020, at 9:16 a.m., our school resource officer, assisted another agency in interviewing a child who was possibly the victim of a crime.  We will forward our report to them to assist with the investigation and prosecution of their case.

20074238:  On July 27, 2020, at 3:26 p.m., a JPD officer responded to a report of Sexual Assault.  This involves a child victim and ongoing family issues and we are not allowed to say more.  We will continue our investigation, determine if a crime occurred and take appropriate actions.

20074251:  On July 27, 2020, 4:40 p.m., a JPD officer responded to a report of Destruction of Property.  The victim reported their vehicle was keyed while in the Albertson’s parking lot.  The victim suspects someone was upset with them about how close they were parked next to another vehicle.  If that’s the case, not cool.  If this was you, we’d prefer you just leave an angry note next time.

20074290:  On July 27, 2020, 8:28 p.m., a JPD officer responded to a report of Burglary.  The guest of a motel reported the theft of their wallet and cash while they were away from their room for the day.  This case is still being investigated and we don’t want to let the cat out of the bag just yet.

Here is the other stuff we did.
