YOUR PRIORITIES FOR NOTHERN SOUTH PARK – ONLINE ACTIVITIES!

With the success of our first online visioning survey and our first public workshop,  participation options for planning the future of Northern South Park continue! Visit northernsouthpark.konveio.com by March 21, 2021 to prioritize plan elements that are important to you in three online activities.

Thank you to everyone that participated in the first Northern South Park neighborhood plan workshop on March 10, 2021. County and Town Staff with Opticos Design consulting team hosted two Zoom workshop sessions to introduce the  neighborhood plan project to the community and facilitate a Q&A following each presentation. We would like to continue the discussion with the community through workshop activity tools, which are hosted online at this link and are open through March 21, 2021.

Online activities include a questionnaire for ranking potential plan features, a site map where you can add sticky notes, and a visual preference survey that presents design examples from other communities and asks you to tell us what you like and do not like.

These interactive tools are different than the previous Community Survey #1 as we narrow the focus on future use and design options prioritized by the community. All public participation will be used by the project team to inform the three design alternatives that will be developed as part of the next phase of the Northern South Park Neighborhood Plan project.

In addition, if you missed the workshop or need more time to review the presentation and Q&A, video recordings of both workshop sessions can be viewed at the project's interactive Konveio website linked here.

To date, our successful public participation campaign has included the following:

  • Over 80 attendees at the first public workshops
  • 398 responses to online Community Survey #1 on visioning
  • 29 one-on-one interviews with selected project stakeholders

Stay tuned for upcoming releases of an Existing Conditions Report prepared by partnering consultant group Opticos Design to analyze current features of the site and a summary of  public participation to date.
