Special Workshop, JIM & Regular Meeting | Monday, Nov. 1


Jackson’s Town Council will meet for a Special Workshop from 9:00am-12:00pm on Monday, November 1, which will be focused on dialogue about the ‘Future Funding of Local Government’ led by Town Manager Larry Pardee. In the afternoon, starting at 3:00pm, the Council will join the County Commission for a Joint Information Meeting (JIM) where Teton County Director of Public Works, Heather Overholser, will present an update on the BUILD Grant. This project, supported by a $20 million federal grant from the U.S. Department of Transportation seeks to improve mobility and reduce congestion along the WY-22 and ID-33 corridor.


At 6:00pm in the evening, Town Council will hold its Regular Meeting, which will begin with the introduction of a new Associate Engineer, Matthew Doyle. After that the consent calendar, with meeting minutes, special events including the Pedigree Dog Sled Race, Salvation Army Bell Ringing, and Town Square Lighting will be considered. Following that, Town Attorney Lea Colasuonno will present a franchise request for trash and recycling hauling from Terra Firma. Next, Ordinance Q concerning ‘Vacancies in Elected Office’ will be presented for its second reading, and Ordinance R regarding the above Franchise Agreement will have its first reading. Under Matters from Mayor and Council, Town Clerk Lynsey Lenamond will lead a Discussion of the Process for Applying for a Retail and/or Bar and Grill Liquor License; Assistant Town Manager Roxanne Robinson will present about shifting the start time for Council Workshops; and Board/Commission reports will be shared. Finally, the Town Manager’s Report will be considered.

Public comment will be taken on the Special Workshop item and items listed under ‘Public Hearings, Discussion &/or Possible Action Items’ via Zoom. Digital attendance is welcome, details below.

  • Community members can attend the Joint Information Meeting at 3:00pm via Zoom by CLICKING HERE.
  • Community members can attend Town Council’s Regular Meeting at 6:00pm via Zoom by CLICKING HERE and using the password 83001. Anyone can make Public Comment for up to 3 minutes by using the “Raise Hand” feature to be called upon within the Zoom platform.
