Affordable Housing Supply Board: This advisory body provides guidance to the Housing Department Director on issues related to affordable workforce housing supply in the Town and County. Board members bring expertise in areas such as building design, housing finance, construction management, preservation and conservation, communications, land acquisition and disposition, federal and state housing programs, and creating livable communities. Projects include developing requests for proposals (rfps) for affordable and/or workforce housing, designing capital programs, and evaluating potential capital projects. The board engages with both traditional and innovative strategies to expand housing supply and meets the 2nd Wednesday of the month from 3:00-5:00PM. Learn More.

Energy Conservation Works (ECW) Board: This joint powers board is a partnership between the Town, County, and Lower Valley Energy that works to conserve energy, advance renewable energy, reduce emissions and keep power costs down. Members have been leaders in renewable energy, high-performance building, environmental policy, community philanthropy, and municipal and utility governance. The ECW board meets every month, usually on the 3rd Thursday at 10:30AM. Regular monthly 90 minute meetings alternate with short voucher meetings of 30 minutes or less. The board has some committees and other volunteer opportunities. The time commitment for directors averages between 4-8 hours/month.

Parks & Recreation Board: This advisory board serves as a link between the community and local government, offering recommendations on facility planning, recreation programs, and park policies. We welcome residents who value active living to advocate for high-quality recreational opportunities for all residents and visitors. The Board meets on the 2nd Thursday of every month at 5:00PM, and includes a time commitment of about 2-3 hours per month.

Pathways Task Force: This citizen advisory committee focuses on issues related to pathways including trails, bike lanes, and multimodal transportation. The board meets the 1st Wednesday of every month at 5:30PM.

START Board: This board oversees the financial and operational aspects of Southern Teton Area Rapid Transit (START Bus), providing transportation services around Jackson and the surrounding area. Annually, this board recommends budget proposals to the Town and County and sets goals and operations plans to guide the service that START offers to the community. Members are passionate about creating responsible access to Jackson and the region, and value the social, economic, and environmental benefits of public transit. The time commitment is typically an average of 2-5 hours per month with meetings on the 4th Thursday of the month at 3:30PM.

Public Art Task Force: This task force focuses on new public art projects including criteria and artist selection and makes recommendations for maintenance of current public art. Past members have backgrounds as culture representatives, artists, planners, architects, business owners, and interest in Jackson's community character.
