We wanted to update everyone on the potential sewer line collapse. This issue has been successful resolved by the Jackson Public Works Department.
There will be no need for a street closure today on Kelly Avenue.
Thank you Public Works crew for tackling this job in an effective and efficient manner.
The
Jackson Public Works Department is currently investigating a potential sewer collapse on East Kelly Avenue between Vine Street and Mike Yokel Park. Public Works crews are on scene investigating and details are still coming in.
There is a strong possibility that a road closure on East Kelly (between Vine Street and Mike Yokel Park) will take place sometime today. This closure may begin around noon today in order to repair this situation.
If East Kelly Avenue is closed for sewer repair the Town of Jackson will sign the streets notifying the public of the closure and informing drivers to take alternative routes. The Public Works crews hope to have this repaired as soon as possible.
We’ll provide additional information as we have it.
Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work to resolve this issue.
