On Friday, February 8th, there will be some additional NO PARKING areas on a few select streets in town. This will allow the Public Works crew additional time to remove snow from the streets.
The closure will be for Friday (2/8/19) from 7:00 a.m. to 12 noon on these streets:
1. Flatcreek Drive (from Broadway to Karns Street.)
2. Milward Street (from Broadway to Snow King)
3. Simpson Street (from Cache Street to Gros Ventre Sreet.)
These streets will be signed with "No Parking" signs for tomorrow while crews work to remove snow.
This last storm produced enough snow that the roadways in these areas have become too narrow for cars to safely pass.
On February 4th and 5th Jackson beat the daily snowfall record (kept since 1905) for both days. The storm ranked 4th overall for 2 day total snowfall.
