Town Council Meetings - Action Items -  Tuesday, February 19


The Town Council  met 2 times on Tuesday, February 19th.   At 3:00pm a Town Council Workshop was held and at 6:00pm the Regular Evening Town Hall Meeting was held.  The meetings were held at the Town Hall in the Council Chambers.   The meetings were streamed live, on-line and will be archived on the Town of Jackson's website (http://townofjackson.com/290/Watch-a-Meeting-Online).   Agendas for these meetings are available on the Town of Jackson's website (http://townofjackson.com/491/Agendas-Minutes).

For your information, the following is an overview of the Town Council’s actions taken at their workshop and regular meeting yesterday:

  • Mayor Muldoon introduced new employee Miriam Kellams as Information Coordinator for the Police Department.
  • Public Works gave an overview presentation of the Town’s stormwater systems and management recommendations for updating the stormwater programing and was directed to proceed working on a plan.
  • Staff presented information on how new federal regulations will impact local wireless facilities in the Town and was directed to draft regulations and ordinances to manage small cell wireless applications and the associated development in the Town and present them at a future Council meeting.

  • The Council approved meeting minutes, disbursements, and the January Municipal Court Report as presented.
  • Special events for the Snowmobile Hill Climb and Ultimate Towner were approved.
  • A temporary sign permit for Bras 4 A Cause was approved.
  • A 3rd Amendment to the lease agreement with the Jackson Hole Children’s Museum extending the lease to June 30, 2019 was approved.
  • Council approved awarding the Sewer Concrete Rehabilitation Project contract to K.R. Swerdfeger Construction, Inc.
  • Bid 19-13 and 19-14. The construction contract for the 2019 Spring Road Marking Project was awarded to American Striping Company of Englewood, Colorado and the 2019 Spring Road Striping Project was awarded to Idaho Traffic Safety of Idaho Falls.
  • Bid 19-15. The construction contract for the 2019 Spring Road Patching and Overlay project was awarded to Evans Construction Company.
  • The Council denied transferring the ownership and location of a retail liquor license from Tastebuds LLC to ShopCoo LLC doing business as Pearl Street Market at 40 West Pearl.
  • Council approved the annual renewals of liquor licenses and permits, excluding a retail liquor license held by Tastebuds LLC.
  • A revised deed restriction for Affordable Condominium Rental Units in the Town of Jackson, including for use by the Pine Lodge Amended Addition was approved.
  • Resolution 19-04 was approved stating agreement to participate in the Teton Health District and Department.
  • Ordinances A through S were approved at second reading pertaining to LDR clean-ups.
  • Matters from the Mayor and Council included an update from the Travel & Tourism Board, the public meeting hosted by WYDOT on the Snake River Bridge replacement, and getting a report on how many people tune in to Council meetings.
  • The Town Managers report contained an update on sales tax collections, additional ADA parking spaces downtown, and Human Services planning. Also a Road to Zero Waste bag proposed as the handout bag.
