Westview Townhomes Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
The cost of housing and rising rents are squeezing family budgets and even squeezing good people who can not afford to live here out of town. Local government is using every tool at our disposal to combat the housing affordability crisis our families face.
We’re working hand in hand with private and public entities who are stepping up for our community and pushing for affordability for our residents.
The Westview Townhome project will break ground in the very near future at 1255 Highway 22 (the location of the former Choice Meats building).
• The Westview Townhome project represents 16 of the approximately 250 permanently deed restricted housing units that we have in the pipeline right now.
• The Town has been a partner in this project since the beginning because we value affordable housing and recognize that by housing employees locally we are not only improving those families’ quality of life, but we are also stewarding our ecosystem.
Westview and the Town of Town of Jackson have partnered in the following ways:
Westview Townhomes have agreed to pay the Town $50,000 as a cost share to extend the water and sewer mains up to their property line. This extension also gives Teton County Search and Rescue (TCSAR) the future opportunity to connect to Town water and sewer.
The Town extended 800’ of sidewalk to connect Westview Townhomes back to the sidewalk at the Y Intersection.
