Deloney Construction - Local businesses REMAIN OPEN!
"Sorry for our mess!" Deloney Avenue is currently a construction zone BUT local businesses remain open throughout the efforts! Please don't forget about the shops in these areas during the work on Deloney between Center and King.
The businesses include: Workshop, Susan Fleming Jewelry, Coral & Tusk, Snake River Interiors, New West Knife Works, Mtn. Man Towy Shop, and Garden House Design.
The public restroom facilities at the Deloney Bus Shelter will also remain open throughout the construction which is slated to be complete by 7pm on August 16. In addition the Deloney Bus stop has moved one block east to the corner of Willow (east side) and Deloney.
Here's the information on the construction.
Portions of East Deloney Avenue and North King Street will be closed starting on Monday, August 5 at 7:00am until Friday, August 16 at 7:00pm. The Deloney START Bus stop will be temporarily relocated one block east of Willow Street.
The Town of Jackson’s Public Works Department and Western Municipal Construction will begin road excavation on Monday, August 5, 2019 for the installation of underground utilities associated with the Cache Creek Tube project.
This project will involve the closure of East Deloney Avenue between North Willow Street to the alley east of Center Street as well as the closure of North King Street between East Deloney Avenue to the construction access fencing at 112 Center Street. This closure is scheduled to begin at 7:00am on Monday, August 5. It is anticipated that the closure will remain in place until Friday, August 16, 2019 at 7:00pm, weather permitting.
Throughout this construction project, the Deloney START Bus stop will be relocated one block east of Willow Street. All passenger pick-ups will occur at this location. The facilities in the Deloney parking lot will remain open throughout this project.
Access to the East Deloney Avenue parking lot will remain open from North Willow Street. Please avoid walking through the construction zone from this parking lot. Two-way traffic on North King Street from Gill Avenue will be open to local traffic only toward the construction access at 112 Center Street.
Pedestrian access will be limited in this area. Please plan an alternate walk/bike route around the work zone. Please plan your daily travels ahead of time and expect delays. Please be aware of, and obey all construction notification, closures, barricades, detour and parking restriction signage in the vicinity of the construction zone as it is there for your safety and the safety of the construction workers.
