Phase 2 of the CompRehensive Plan Update Process:

Where are we going?

The joint Jackson/Teton County Comprehensive Plan is meant to protect the health, safety and welfare of our community and preserve our community character for future generations. With its adoption in 2012, our community decided to work together toward the following vision:

“Preserve and protect the areas ecosystem in order to ensure a healthy environment, community and economy for current and future generations.”

The Jackson/Teton County Comprehensive Plan is designed to be a living plan, able to proactively adapt to changing conditions and community needs. The Comprehensive Plan guides growth and development, and addresses: local workforce housing; climate sustainability and energy conservation; all modes of transportation; the provision of community services; a diverse and balanced economy; the stewardship of wildlife, natural resources and scenery; and more.

A key component of this review and update process is public outreach and engaging with the community to gather meaningful feedback and ideas. Phase 1 concluded with a community-wide survey and open house, which took place on October 8, 2019. A summary of the Phase 1 survey results and a brief summary and analysis paper for Phase 1 can be found by CLICKING HERE

As part of Phase 2 in the update of the Comprehensive Plan continues, Jackson/Teton County is requesting more feedback from the public through a community survey. The survey will allow participants to share their thoughts and ideas moving forward, and will allow for ideas for new projects, strategies, policies and/or personal actions that could help the community achieve the goals of the Comprehensive Plan.
