Value Jackson Award
Congratulations to Kelly Thompson, Finance Director for the Town of Jackson, this month's recipient of the Value Jackson Award.
Officer Brian Morris presented the award and explained that Kelly's dedication, attention to detail and outstanding responsiveness were just some of the reasons why he nominated Kelly for this award.
Under Thompson's leadership, the Town of Jackson's Finance Department was recently awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada.
The Certificate of Achievement is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting, and its attainment represents a significant accomplishment by government and its management.
Thompson has also instrumental in the Town's implementation of a Priority Based Budget.
