Interested in coming to Jackson, Wyoming this year to collect elk antlers on opening day of antler season (May1, 2020 at 12:01pm)?   F305C7F1-480D-4346-96AA-8E69DEBBE8A9

Due to COVID-19 we are encouraging antler collectors to resist coming to Jackson for the opening day this year.

Currently Jackson is under various State and County Health Orders.   The Teton District Health Officer has issued a recommendation that any visitors that visit Teton County, Wyoming, including the Town of Jackson, from another geographic area outside of Teton County, WY should limit movement and gathering with other individuals who are not their immediate household.

In the face of a pandemic in our small Wyoming town, we are pleading to anyone who might be coming to Jackson to look for antlers to consider waiting until after this pandemic situation has been resolved.  The elk will continue to shed.  This may not be the year.   Please do not put our compromised populations in greater risk of contracting COVID19.

We, like you, value our family members - our fathers, our mothers, our grandparents.  Please make these considerations before embarking on your trip to Jackson to hunt for antlers this year.

We have limited resources and one of the highest confirmed case percentages in all of Wyoming.

We look forward to amazing antler finds in the future!
