Jackson, Wyo. July 18, 2018 – Floren Poliseo has accepted the position of Director of Public Works for the Town of Jackson, effective August 20, 2018.  With Larry Pardee’s appointment to the position of Town Manager, the Town of Jackson has been working to backfill the Public Works Director vacancy, which is a critical leadership position within the Town’s organizational structure.

Ms. Poliseo was selected from a pool of 33 candidates after an intensive interview process including input from municipal, county, state and federal government agencies that work closely with the Public Works Department.

Ms. Poliseo is originally from Florida and earned her undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering and a Certificate in Personality and Social Psychology from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a master’s degree in Sustainability Management from Columbia University in New York.

“The skills and experience Floren brings related to stormwater management and sustainability will be a great asset to our team in Public Works,” said Jackson Town Manager, Larry Pardee.  “We hope to be working on improving our stormwater systems in the community and the skills and insight Floren brings will be invaluable.”

Ms. Poliseo is a licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) with experience in design engineering for residential, municipal, and commercial projects, as well as design engineering for wireless communication systems.  In her most recent position as a Managing Director at the New York City Department of Environmental Protection, Ms. Poliseo oversaw programs including stormwater management and regulatory compliance, facilities management, and permitting for construction projects.

She and her husband, Joe, have been regular visitors to the Jackson Hole community for the past 10 years and enjoying running, hiking, skiing/snowboarding, and other outdoor activities.

Floren Poliseo will begin as the new Public Works Director on Monday, August 20, 2018.
