The Town Council met on Tuesday, September 8th at 6:00pm for their regular evening meeting. The Town Council meets the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month. Due to the observance of Labor Day on Monday, September 7, 2020 the regular evening meeting was rescheduled for Tuesday, September 9, 2020.
The following is an overview of the Town Council’s actions taken at this regular meeting:
- The Council approved meeting minutes and disbursements as presented.
- The July 2020 Municipal Court Report was placed into the record.
- A Special Event application was approved for the Fall Arts Festival.
- The Council awarded Bid 20-17 to Avail Valley Construction for the 2020 Fall Street Patching Project.
- A Sewer Trunk Line Cleaning Services Contract with Kleen Pipe, LLC in Lander was approved.
- The Council approved the Contract with the Wyoming Water Development Commission (WWDC) for a grant to fund groundwater exploration.
- An Encroachment Agreement with Harrison Hospitality Properties Limited Partnership to allow the soil nails of a temporary shoring wall for the Rusty Parrot was approved.
- The Council directed the Housing Department to pursue a design option for a housing project with Summit Housing Group on Snow King Avenue.
- Item P20-056: Development Plan for Core Services Vehicle Maintenance Facility at 55 Karns Meadow Drive was continued to October 5th.
- A parking agreement with Martin Family LLC at 1490 Gregory Lane was approved.
- The Council discussed leases and agreements with Snow King and continued discussion to a future meeting.
- Eight ordinances were approved at second reading to update Housing Department Rules and Regulations.
- The Council directed that additional funds be moved to the Public Works budget so additional curb painting could be done.
- The Town Managers Report contained an update on a Construction management Plan for the Rusty Parrot, approval of SLIB grant applications, and after-action review meetings on large construction projects.
