[ARCHIVED] TEMPORARY DETOURS ON VINE STREET ROUTES FOR JANUARY 18 and 19

Detour Map Edit

On Monday, January 18 and Tuesday, January 19 between the hours of 7:00 am and 5:00 pm, a portion of Vine Street will be closed to thru traffic between Snow King Avenue and Kelly Avenue.

As a result of this temporary closure, the START Bus Circulator and Local routes that typically utilize Vine Street will detour from Snow King Avenue to South Willow to East Kelly before resuming the normal, established route.   The detour will take place between the hours of 7:00 am and 5:00 pm on January 18 and 19.

A private construction project requires the use of a crane on these two dates, thus necessitating a closure to traffic.   Motorists, bicyclists and pedestrians are advised to seek alternate routes in the vicinity of this construction activity. Please be aware of, and obey all construction notifications, detours and parking restriction signage as it is there for your safety and the safety of the construction workers.   In the event of inclement weather for crane operation these dates may need to be extended.

START Bus riders are requested to not ride the bus if they are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, and encouraged to download and use Care19 Alert, the official COVID-19 exposure notification app for Wyoming to help reduce the spread of the coronavirus.

START Bus is working closely with state and local health organizations and continuing to take proactive measures in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. These measures include, but are not limited to, frequent cleaning schedules for buses, requiring all START Bus Operators and riders to wear a dry, 2-ply face covering per Wyoming Statewide Public Health Order #4, having hand sanitizer and face coverings available on each bus for public use, and limiting the number of people allowed on buses.

START will continue to follow our state and local directive and guidance.   Please do not ride START Bus if you will not wear a face covering or if you are sick or experiencing COVID-19 symptoms.

START Bus encourages you to consider supporting the reduction of traffic throughout the winter season - ride the bus, or utilize a rideshare program.   Please check www.startbus.com for details on all of these winter routes, schedules and fees or contact START Bus directly at (307) 733-4521
