Town Council Regular Meeting | Tuesday, September 7
Jackson’s Town Council will meet for its Regular Meeting at 6:00pm on Tuesday, September 7. This meeting was shifted to Tuesday evening due to the Labor Day holiday. The meeting will begin with the introduction of new Town employee, Mary Hurst who is a Finance Office Clerk working at the front desk in Town Hall. After public comment on items not on the agenda, the Council will consider its consent calendar including meeting minutes, various Special Events, and a Stormwater Management contract. Next, Community Development Director, Tyler Sinclair, will lead Council through a discussion about staffing and capacity in the Housing Department.
After that, Town Planner Tyler Valentine will present a Partial Vacation without Replat for Lots 71, 72, and 73 of the Ferrin 8th Addition, which Council will be asked to approve to align with the current zoning for these lots. After that, Assistant Director of Public Works, Johnny Ziem, will present a conceptual design of an addition to the Rancher Street Complete Street Project. Staff is recommending that Council approve an additional block be incorporated into this project to include Rancher Street to approximately the alley on the southern end of May Park. Following that, Ziem will also lead a discussion about the East Simpson Sidewalk Project for which staff recommends constructing a detached sidewalk as currently designed.
Next, Town Attorney Lea Colasuonno will read Ordinances to update Jackson’s Municipal Code and for a Franchise Agreement. The meeting will end with Matters from Mayor and Council and the Town Manager’s report.
