No, you do not need a Contractor License for installing flooring, but you would need to obtain a Business License from the Finance Department if you are working in the Town of Jackson.

Records for planning and building items may be in digital or hard copy format. Please send us an email to planning@jacksonwy.gov before coming to view any files so staff can determine what records may or may not exist and in what format.

If your contractor has changed during the project, or you submitted a building permit application without a contractor listed, submit a completed Contractor of Record form signed by the contractor for your project to townbuilding@jacksonwy.gov.

A building permit is required if sheathing or framing, or a cold roof is being modified or constructed.
A replacement of underlayment or shingles does not require a permit.
Regardless of whether or not your roofing project requires a building permit through the Town, roofs must comply with WUI guidelines. Contact Jackson Hole Fire/EMS at 307.733.4732 to ensure WUI compliance.
