Mechanical Permit

Requirements

An individual who desires to do the following to a mechanical system, the installation of which is regulated by this code or to cause such work to be done must obtain a mechanical permit prior to starting work. Failure to do so will result in a fine.

  • Convert
  • Enlarge
  • Erect
  • Install
  • Remove
  • Repair
  • Replace


Qualification of Installer

Any work requiring a mechanical permit and inspection as defined in this code shall be installed by a licensed mechanical contractor with a valid Town of Jackson Contractor’s License. Information on how to become a licensed contractor can be found under the contractor license link.

Mechanical Permit Application

The mechanical permit can be applied for through the Town of Jackson's Smart Gov Portal. The link to the portal is Smart Gov Portal .
